Lochinvar Ltd has a history in the direct gas-fired water heater business, which dates back to 1976, when products like Knight and Charger water heaters were among the first of their type. Designed on the principles of low storage, but fast hot water recovery, they have been a popular choice for many commercial and industrial buildings for over 40 years.

Lochinvar currently offer a range of Renewable technologies which include a large selection of Air Source Heat Pumps. In recent years Lochinvar have supplied these units for a number of commercial and industrial applications, in most cases integrating with our high-efficiency gas-fired boilers and water heaters. This integrated approach can provide significant savings on capital cost, when compared with a ‘renewable-only’ installation. The traditional gas-fired products are only designed to fire when demand is high or for back-up, with the renewable technology taking care of what could be described as the standard load.

Thermal Store & PreHeat Vessels:
In order to make use of the renewable energy generated from sources such as Solar Thermal and Heat Pumps, either a Thermal store or preheat vessel is required. Our Squire and Squire stainless indirect water heaters can be used to store preheated water which in turn is then supplied to the primary water heating method. Thermal stores can also be used for this purpose and our award-winning HSV range, can work with up to 3 energy sources.
